__HANNO BUSCH TRIO ::: SHARE THIS ROOM

After the ECHO Jazz nominated debut album Absent (FRUTEX TRACKS 2014) these three musicians are presenting themselves as a mature trio with the followup, Share This Room. Like they did for Absent the band worked with the stellar engineer, Phil Kullmann. His expertise and long working relation with Busch sets the right vibe for this project as well.

The chosen inspiration and thread for the album’s compositions is the song And So It Goes by Billy Joel. All tracks have been named from the lyrics of this American songwriter’s song. The album contains an interpretation of And So It Goes besides Busch’s original songs.

    __Track by Track

    Sanctuary I - IV

„In every heart there is a room, a sanctuary safe and strong.“

We all have this special place in our hearts, where we carry and protect our most intimate thoughts and feelings. The Sanctuaries I-IV intone these private spaces of peace.

    Cautious Tones

„I spoke to you in cautious tones“

When we are aware of the power of words, there are conversations, where every sentence, every word feels like taking small steps upon a new frozen lake.

    In Every Heart

„In every heart there is a room, a sanctuary safe and strong.“

Everybody carries such a „sanctuary“ within their hearts. Everybody.

    Ans so will you soon

„And so it goes, and so it goes, and so will you soon, I suppose.“

The certainty of not being able to prevent a not needed loss. To accept the course of life with inner calm.

    I Said Too Much

„And still I feel, I said too much.“

When after one of those conversations where every word is accompanied with special care, we feel that we should have said everything differently, or less.

My Silence Is My Self Defense

„And still I feel, I said too much. My Silence Is My Self Defense.“

When words lose their power because of interfered or disturbed connection.

„So I will share this room with you.“

An invitation to the „sanctuary“, the heart’s interior. Music is always an invitation to share this moment. It’s not just the title of this track, but a headline for the whole album and every concert.

    And So It Goes

This wonderful song (and eloquent lyric) brilliantly penned by Billy Joel is the inspiration for all of Busch’s compositions on this record.
